Jamac has introduced its new Servo Scara, a servo motor-driven version of Janome's Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm device, as an affordable high-speed, high-accuracy robot. The new JS 250, 350, 450 and 550 Series multipurpose SCARA, designed primarily for automating assembly lines, incorporates a high-speed horizontal movement of up to 6,300 mm per second with high rigidity to achieve a competitive standard cycle time. Other features specific to the JS Series include smooth, accurate, 90-degree fluid dispensing even at high speeds, as well as the ability to network up to 31 SCARAs via RS-485 connection. Software improvements include new programming capabilities to accommodate advanced robot language, plus several functions that can be customized to the user's needs. Engineers of the new JS Series expect the new technology to increase productivity and automation, while maintaining consistent high quality and reducing consumption of resources and energy. The new servo SCARAs have a small footprint and can be used in conjunction with other equipment in production facilities such as assembly, transportation, packing, sealing, dispensing, deburring, and parts inspection. | |
